Our Approach

For individuals with a mood disorder, we encourage collaboration with your PCP or Psychiatrist for medication management, as it can reduce symptoms in conjunction with talk therapy and life skill building. We're happy to complete a release of information to work with your current provider, or we can refer you to trusted area providers if you don't have one.

At the same time, therapy with us will equip you with vital life skills and tools such as:

  • Mood regulation strategies
  • Coping mechanisms for stress, anxiety, and worry
  • A safe, non-judgmental space to express yourself
  • Individualized treatment plans formulated in collaboration with you, using assessment tools to identify key challenge areas.

For those with a diagnosed or undiagnosed personality disorder, we'll provide similar tools, plus specialized Ego State Therapy and/or Parts work to help you stay grounded when symptoms arise.

We also believe in the power of support. When possible, we encourage involving family or supportive others, as they can be a significant source of encouragement. You'll be asked to sign a release of information for them, but you can decline if you wish or if you don't have such individuals in your life currently.
